oh hey guys. as i explain at the opening of this week's episode, this one happened in sort of a rush. my week in toronto was swamped with schoolwork and other things that kept me busy, and i'm in london for at least the weekend. this meant i squeezed the recording of this one in a pretty tight window, and i couldn't use my actual microphone, which i left in toronto. so apologies for any sound issues and shoddy ad-libbing, but this is better than delaying it until next week right????
otherwise though, this is a really good one i think. a few of these tracks are among my all-time favourites; or, at the very least, among my most-played songs on last.fm.

nice mix! have you noticed that the trash the rental remix got a second life as 1991 on cc's album?
ReplyDeletei didn't even notice the similarities until just now, when you mentioned it. though i think they're different enough that the disparity between my overwhelming love for "trash the rental" and my moderate like for "1991" is warranted.
ReplyDeleteGood show. But last week, I mentally figured "underrated pop songs" would dig back into the 90's or whatever instead of just the last few year(s). Regardless, it provided some much-needed energy during a six-hour drive from Chicago to Minneapolis.
