O.F.G. Radio: Episode #4

oh hey guys. as i explain at the opening of this week's episode, this one happened in sort of a rush. my week in toronto was swamped with schoolwork and other things that kept me busy, and i'm in london for at least the weekend. this meant i squeezed the recording of this one in a pretty tight window, and i couldn't use my actual microphone, which i left in toronto. so apologies for any sound issues and shoddy ad-libbing, but this is better than delaying it until next week right????

otherwise though, this is a really good one i think. a few of these tracks are among my all-time favourites; or, at the very least, among my most-played songs on last.fm.

O.F.G. Radio: Episode #3

you guys are really exceeding my expectations. 20ish downloads each for the first two podcasts. that's like ten times more than what i was expecting!! i hope you're liking what you're hearing so far. i can say too with 98% certainty that things should only get better, as i become more accustomed to the editing software and mixing and, you know, talking into a microphone, that sort of thing. and hopefully the music selections won't slip either.

this week, i'm already back to sharing more new music, because of the surprising amount of albums i've been hearing and really liking lately. polly scattergood and lily allen are probably my highlights of this week. be sure to check out their albums if you like the couple songs i play from them!!

only my second week and already i'm bringing in guests! it's for a good cause though, don't worry!!! this week's episode is dedicated to previewing and maybe building up a little hype for my roommate lisa's birthday party, taking place in this very house (ours) next friday. the theme of the party? the 90s. so of course, the theme of this podcast is: the 90s. and i got lisa to help me out with picking some tracks, and sharing the occasional anecdote about those picks. in this hour, we attempt to convey, through the power of 90s alt-rock and hip hop, all the reasons why you should be at that party. this was a fun one. get nostalgic.

O.F.G. Radio: Episode #1

my first podcast!!! i threw this together in a hurry, having never used the software before, so i apologize if the mixing is a little shoddy and my comments in between songs are a little scarce. with this one, i was basically just making sure that i knew, generally, what i was doing. and i think i do. for the most part. so i promise better things in the future. AND THEMES!! 60s psychedelic, 70s dance, 80s power pop, 90s rap, 00s rock. who knows. i like great music, so it should be fine. i can only promise that each week i'll include songs that i genuinely really enjoy. as my homeboys sum 41 would say: ALL KILLER NO FILLER. except that i hope to deliver better on that promise than they did.
